Classification of dangerous goods and substances (assignment of goods to a class, subclass, category and group) is carried out depending on the type and degree of danger of goods and substances ADR / ADR.

The following classification of dangerous goods and substances has been established:

  • class 1 - explosive materials (VM);
  • class 2 - compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases under pressure;
  • class 3 - flammable liquids (LVH);
  • class 4
    - flammable solid loads and substances (LVT);
    - spontaneous combustible goods and substances (CB);
    - goods and substances that emit flammable gases in contact with water;
  • class 5 - oxidizing substances (OK) and organic peroxides (OP);
  • class 6 - toxic substances (JV) and infectious goods and substances (IW);
  • class 7 - radioactive materials (RM);
  • class 8 - caustic and (or) corrosive goods and substances (EC);
  • class 9 - other dangerous goods and substances.
